Facendo riferimento al brano di vangelo che abbiamo meditato nella festa di S. Ildefonso, (Luca capitolo 9, versetti dal 10 al 17), il brano della moltiplicazione dei pani e di pesci, scopriamo in alcuni versetti atteggiamenti e parole di Gesù che diventano elementi fondanti del nostro essere Chiesa e che voglio anche qui ricordare.

Innanzitutto all’inizio di questo brano l’evangelista Luca rileva una parola di Gesù molto significativa per il nostro essere chiesa: “Il Signore Gesù prese i discepoli con se e si ritirò in disparte”, questa parola dice il desiderio di Gesù che i suoi amici stiano con lui, in sua compagnia per ascoltarsi, per conoscersi, per dialogare, per realizzare un rapporto vitale per la fede del discepolo. La Comunità Cristiana è dunque innanzitutto un’esperienza forte di incontro tra il Signore e i suoi amici, i discepoli, per stare insieme e realizzare un’ esperienza di comunione .

Certo nello stesso brano, ai versetti successivi, si ricorda che “ le folle cercano il Signore e lo seguono e lo trovano” e Gesù ascolta anche le folle ed accoglie i loro bisogni esprimendo così il volto misericordioso di Dio che è un Padre attento ai suoi figli.

Ma Gesù non opera da solo, anzi, coinvolge i suoi discepoli nell’esperienza della missione ed insegna a donare loro stessi: “date loro voi stessi da mangiare” ; la Comunità , riunita in Gesù e guidata da lui, fa esperienza di missione, di dono, di servizio.

Nel brano di Luca Gesù si manifesta attraverso il segno della moltiplicazione dei cinque pani e due pesci: il nostro poco donato a Lui basta per tutti ed advances.
